So where are they now?
Im always up on Hydrostream history and wont ever claim to be a expert but Im curious as to the where abouts to the molds? Anybody know? I know some when up to Canada and John did a couple of boats but which ones did he do? How about the rest? Ive heard X Streams were his? How about Thunderstreams? Anything still being made or on a special order basis? Ive seen Vkings around and I believe the Vegas how about Vultures,Vectors,Vipers obvious the short list?

John Spaeth is still producing boats as far as I understand, on a per order basis.

They went piece meal all over. Here are the few I know of.
The Hustler V mold is in AZ still producing boats by **** Kojetin and his partner.
The Virage hull/deck mold is in MN, and a boat was made from it last year, they same place has the V-King hull mold.
The HST hull mold is still at Howard's, at least the last time I was there it was. Deck mold is MIA.
Then there is the whole set of Canadian Edition molds...I wonder which ones of those Spaeth has...

Re: So where are they now?
Last year I saw some mold came up for sale. A little looking into it and I found out it was Chris Spaeth, and it was the hustler tunnel hull mold. Apparently they were getting rid of the "small boat" mold inventory in order to make more space to produce the bigger boats. I didn't get into details with him about what big boats they were concentrating on, so I don't know what they're still capable of producing, but I know they're still working on boats, and will build a 'stream if you want one.rev.ronnie wrote:

John was selling his VooDoo molds. Last I heard he still has a set of V-King, Voyager and maybe a CE mold or two.

Re: So where are they now?
Couple of years ago PK Marine, now out of business was advertising a brand new viper and had pics of it. Hull was not rigged. Pretty tempting at the time. The owner was in some big public scuffles over scream and fly with members there who were complaining that he had their hulls for too long or had their money and wasn't delivering hulls. Then he disappeared.
I'm way too new to boating and hydrostreams to know if his viper was a splash or an original.

Re: So where are they now?
The original V-King mold is a few miles from me in MN. They popped a hull out of it that was laid up in 1991 to hold the mold.
