Re: new jackplate
Did you get it out yet?
I would like to know how it performed with the extra 12".
Been in Washington for the past two weeks. First time getting on the computer.
Looks great!!! I'm about ready to bite the bullet on an 8" or 10" for my Stage III Virage.

Re: new jackplate
hey ron,
its hard to tell if i got any top end gains. water conditions in the intercostal dont allow for much over 65 mph. i have noticed the virage does not like extra weight in the back. ive got a 12 gallon tank in the back and when i get to 1/3 tank the boat runs faster, looser, and is more fun to drive. that kinda makes me wish i went with a 10 inch to save weight. i just added a CDI stator, regulator, trigger, powerpacks and wireing harness, and was looking forward to puting it to the test yesterday, but i should have replaced the coils to cuz 15min into my trip i lost spark on my starboard top cylinder. it will be a few days till i get her out again, but ill keep u posted on performance gains.
