Doing the same thing on the other side. I will let it cure for a couple of days before I grind the edges and lay down the 1708.

loooking good love the look of balsa but the foam core seems to be good also if you get the 3/4 or 1/2 inch no rotting in that stuff either lol

After another trip to the supply house to pick up 4 more gallons of resin I layed the 1708 over the other side of balsa. Now I am looking at the dark hole that needs grinding, I am itching just thinking about it.

Looks like time to get new tyvek suit and 36 grit disk.

Looks great. Keep it up. Did you get enough resin up in the bow? that looks a little light which makes me wonder if it is stuck down properly or has some air pockets in it. Not saying it's wrong. Just though it looks an awful lot like the part I did and had to pull off and re-do. I ended up going through a lot more resin then I thought I would also. Bill

No resin yet, havn't finished grinding. Just got back from lowes with new tyvec suit and 36 grit disk. Now I can have some fun.

Looking good! I'm going through a ton more resin than I expected on my ventura rebuild. I used 11 gallons already and I'm not sure I will be able to finish it with another 5! I love the look of the balsa core btw.
