Re: 76 vector restore
i use my shop vac for home renovations
i have a few long shop vac hoses that i joined all togetther,
so the vac itself sits just outside of the garage/house
sometimes fine dust will come out of it, and with the exhaust blowing, it will get exerywhere.
then get the hose right under where you're working
it should work great in a tight space.

Clean the filter on the shop vacuum regularly also. I got more dust on me cleaning the shop vac. My answer is put the teenagers in there.

Re: 76 vector restore
Don't have the teenagers available anymore. My son is now in the army.VultureNo2 wrote:Clean the filter on the shop vacuum regularly also. I got more dust on me cleaning the shop vac. My answer is put the teenagers in there.
I would grind for 3 to 4 hours then vac then empty and clean filter. It is amazing how much snow is created.
Re: 76 vector restore
I did mine outside in the winter when it was 20 degrees or lower out so I was bundled up. I just used a couple box fans in the boat to blow the dust out. I was thinking about ski goggles to keep the dust out of my eyes but never tried it.

Re: 76 vector restore
After many moons I got a chance to work on the Vector. I wanted to use coosa for the stringers but not sure now that I cut the stringers. Being only 3 inches tall a single 1/2 inch board is not very rigid. Wanting to stick to my plan I laminated two pieces together using two layers of 1708. This helped, but i still have my doubts. Maybe when they are glassed in and floor added on top I will feel better about them. I will hate it if I have to tear them out and start over.I am going to cut a 3 inch strip of plywood today and compare.
Tryed to load pics but ran out of time, gotta go to work, will get it done after work.

Re: 76 vector restore
After a month of running the roads chasing a dollar I have a few days to make progress on the vector.
Got the stringers sunk into two layers of 1708 laid on the pad and up the the outside edge of stringers.
It took alot of fitting and trimming to get them to stand up on the concave pad. I don't know how I loaded the pic twice.
