New to Site - introduction

Post: # 24153Post deauboy »

Hi, Jim here, new to this site.

This is a 1985 Vamp, Autumnmist color

I live in Milwaukee and often travel around the state with this rig. I have friends in Wausau who also own Hydrostreams and can often be found
on Lake Wausau. Got it about five years ago and have done a lot of clean up and decal removal, replaced the interior and re-done a lot of the wiring.
In the next few weeks it is getting a new Evinrude Gen1 150 and transon jack put on it. Love this Vamp, I can see why Howard says this is his favorite.

Happy boating,

Jim

Welcome to the forum!

Great looking Vamp! I love the rail style you have verse the big tall rail that also came on them. Mine also has the low mounted rail but I have the sportier windshield.

Sadly mine needs a complete full restoration that will hopefully happen someday. I have a Vector I want to get at first though but I need to finish up the Vulture before the Vector gets any love. And dont get me started on my old CobraJet that will get done one of these days. Old jet boat that im going to convert to an outboard.

Travis Nowak is up in Wausau.

Thanks, I would love to have several hydrostreams as well, but with the motorcycling I also do, I have all I can to get in my one boat for the short season in the Midwest. I know Travis in Wausau, we go out together often with my friend Marc. I have a pic somewhere of the three of our streams at bluegill bay in Wausau. Will post when I find it.

Welcome to the forum Jim.
Ignore anything Hippie says about getting his boats restored. We've been hearing it for years. :P

Hey now... haha :pound: I have my reasons why things are taking so long. They will get done though. :)
