Anybody thinks this is stupid please let me know before I do it. I can't see a better way there is no lift holes or rings to hook to. I am going to wrap a lift strap around it and pull.
Did you pull it off already? I made my own bracket. Instead of the Mercury lift sleeve that screws into the flywheel I took 4 bolts out and made a bracket to lift it

No problem! I'm glad you didn't use the strap. I don't know for sure if that would have turned out the best. I used 1/4 plate and went to the hardware store and got 4 of the flywheel bolts 1/4" longer so I had all the threads I could get without any play
