77Vulture Rebuild
Re: 77Vulture Rebuild
Rut i dont know if your asking me but the rub rail im thinking of is a black rubber rail that goes right over the existing aluminum one from the factory.
Wondering what others did when installing the floor board.... is it best to set it in on some thickened resin or just set the new board in and glass it in place? thanks, Darcy

Re: 77Vulture Rebuild
what i did was glass the bottom of the floor with csm then bonded it to hull while tacky. on top i filled gaps with cabisol then tabbed and glassed with 1708.
heres the dry fit
probably overkill but its what i did. not concerned about weight.
im interested on the rub rail too......

Re: 77Vulture Rebuild
What you are doing looks just like I did my Vulture. I also did a thin strip where the 2 pieces of ply meet. that is a heavy traffic area in the back just in front of the back seat. Looks great. You are getting close. Push on. that full layer might be thicker than the layer I did, but that's ok. Bill

Hello everyone! This project still continues!! My last post was in 2011, wow. Ive been slowly piecing the Vulture back together. The hull has been painted and I made a fully custom tandem trailer for it. I actually found another vulture in my area and bought it for the motor, fuel tank, and steering. I just posted that hull in the classifieds on this site. Hopefully soon I'll have my project complete with pictures to follow
