So I've been off the water for 2 summers now, blew a lower unit, found rotten wood, felt like I was too deep in repairs to salvage her, but couldn't give it up. I've lived in 4 different places in 3 different cities over the last 2 years, got remarried, and most recently adopted another rescue dog, so my priorities have been as far from boating as it gets lol.... I've been out getting rides with friends, which has been great, but that's not the same as having mine back. I made a deal with a local boat restorer and fellow fast boater to get mine rebuilt and back on the water. Stripped it down to the stringers and core, and she's still in very good shape. He's doing a small repair around the drain hole, glassing the stringers in properly (they were dry, hardly any glass on them) then new floor. Plan to be centre steer single seat for this year, just to get back on the water, then look into an interior for next year, possibly even a race hatch.
