Well I made it over finally...

Post: # 18993Post Matts94Z28 »

Some of you guys have seen my blue and white Valero YT project over on S&F and on the Hydrostream groups on FB.

I gave $2700 for the boat with a fresh 9 hours Johnson 150 and a brand new caravan trailer. I've got about $600 in materials so far for the recore once I finish the tear out. I also picked up a 2001 optimax 225hp for $2000 so I may put that on in the end, but it may be a bit heavy.

I'm sure I will have a bunch of questions once it comes time to rebuild. For now it's just too hot and raining every day to work on it. Hope to get it done over the winter.

I'd post some pictures but the site thinks I am spamy...

Welcome to the forum, and can't wait for the pics to start coming in. I have a '84 Valero that's waiting for a recore and transome.

Got it. Yep,... typical HydroStream. You will know your boat inside and out when it's all done.
