Well guy Im looking at a sleek craft and it has a 285 mod Vp motor and I dont no just what a mod vp motor is . Could somebody clue me in thanks in advance.
dont take this to the bank im just writing what i have been told and have read, its an old school 2.4 race engine. basically like a 2.5 promax 260 but with carbs. some were 220 and some were 260. there were also newer efi mod vp's but i cant remember when they came about. when you look at it make sure it actually is a vp not just a vp cowl on a regular engine. block should be bare unpainted aluminum http://boatracingfacts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5590 http://www.hydrostream.org/Literature/MercHiPerf85.pdf
