From what I understand, the windshield helps a lot and does create some down force to help make it less flighty. They again, like 18 years ago when I had my vking it had the windshield and never drove it without one so I really wouldnt know the difference.
Chet would be the one to ask. I know he has a viper but he went his first race season without a windshield then put one on. Plus I think they look much better with them on personally.

I think the boat's flyin real nice, you're on the back foot or so of the pad and it looks like you're keeping it balanced well. Just put on the seat time, you'll get more comfortable and eventually be able to squeeze that last bit o performance out of it!
