Mercury inline 6 carbs

Post: # 15057Post St.Croix_Rat »

I was in the motor yesterday and was looking at the carbs the top one looks like its open at full but the middle carb looks like it should be more open and i cant really see the bottom one, is there a thread on adjusting or "syncing" these to open them or does anyone have experience on these carbs?

There should be a screw on top of middle and bottom carb where the plastic shafts come down from top and middle carb that has a slot, loosen the screw on the middle carb and hold top carb full open ( may need a second set of hands or tie open the top carb) then hold middle carb full open and tighten screw, do the same for bottom carb, also check the plastic shafts for breaks. I hope this helps wish I could send you some pics
