New to the forum. Just picked up an 82 vulture. hydraulic jack plate. 20" mid. coned lower and im having a mild 2.5 power head built. What kind of speeds could i see and what kind of prop should i start with. Ive had speed boats before but this is my first stream. Anything i should know about my boat that a first time owner wouldnt know? I will post pics of the boat soon. Thanks for the advice. Steve

Welcome.to the forum.
Has the core been.replaced if not search the subject and some restoration thresds. Take your time to.learn to drive it because a pad boat can hurt you.
Is it a v bottom or a xt?
It should run well with a chopper style prop try to meet up with some guys that will let you try a couple out to see what works the best.

I would have to agree. The vultures love lots of set back to really get them to fly. I will be running a 10" jack plate on my vulture.
You have any pictures of it? I would love to see it.
