Was looking on Mark Caspers site tonight because I'm going to check out a local Vegas XT tomorrow after work. I stumbled upon this link, glad to find it!
Thanks to Mark Casper, and thanks to whomever runs this site!

Thanks 77Viper! I don't know that the Vegas is actually for sale, but I suspect it is. And I dont know that I want another 'Stream, but the timing is right. I'm currently without a hot boat. All I have for speed right now is my wife's Honda Aquatrax. The only boat I've got right now is my wifes little Four Winns tubing boat. I'm chomping at the bit for another hot boat!!

Welcome and your welcome.

Hope it all works out and you get that stream. My old vking was a great tubing and ski boat with the right prop on it. I still wish I had pictures of it. But that was at least ten years ago and digital cameras were not even around yet. LOL

That Vegas XT would make a great dual purpose boat. Good selling point for the wife. :D

Just got back from looking at it. It's a 100% original '89 Vegas XT with the original '89 Merc 200 XRi motor, hydraulic jack, chopper prop. Typical stress crack in each corner of the transom, some very light fading in a couple spots but still in fantastic shape. The wood of the back seats hasn't started to rot yet if you can believe it.

Question: What is an unmolested Ski version XT worth? It does have the front tank, the ski tripod, all the ski model stuff (but I think the first owner added all the 'ski' options himself). Boat, motor, trailer. Hasn't been redone yet, all original. Any ideas what it's worth??

A true ski model will be a v bottom and have a tracking fin at midship.

There was one for sale up here for about a year at $8000, and from those two others I guess I would say $6-$7000.
Also take into consideration it might need a core.

Does not have new interior like the link you sent of the '88, but he is including the aluminum boat lift with full canopy. I think it's a stock 2.4 200 hp XRi. Has the CLE gear case. 6" setback hydraulic jack. He did not add the fin to the bottom of the center pod, glad he stopped there when doing the 'ski' mod to the rest of the boat.

I got my Vegas for $7000.Its a very clean 90 and it had a 90 GT200 on it.Hope its worth it. How big are the transom cracks? Mine are very small and i may have gotten a good deal on mine.Always garage kept and I ( as far as I know) am the third owner. Good luck.I love my boat. :boating:

This one has also been garage kept, plus no water allowed inside. The transom corner cracks are the typical gel coat stress crack, not the larger fingernail sized cracks that mean the transom is failing.
