I NEED VINYL WOODGRAIN GUNWALE TRIM
Posted: Aug 31, 2010 7:17 am
As some of you guys know, I am restoring Ron Bakers V-King (he designed the boat). I am putting the boat back to its original condition and am down to only one part left to put it back correctly, and that is the vinyl "edging" that has the simulated woodgrain look to it. The older Streams had aluminum but this one is an 86 model, which had the simulated teak look. Anyway, if somebody has any, I would love to purchase from you, or trade you some emblems I have for it. You will also be mentioned in the article that a couple of magazines might pick up on the boat once it is finished if I use your stuff. This particular V-King is special since Ron designed it, raced it, and added an additional strake on each side as this was his original design but Howard opted to not leave it in due to production costs. Also, I had Ron sign the Side of the deck when I got it from him. The boat will be really cool once finished. I will leave all of the upgrades he made, since he is the man behind the boat and not just "Joe Fix-It" adding his own little touches. So, in essense, I am restoring the boat to factory correct, while leaving the "markings" of Baker himself, such as his Gaffrig gauges, Baker/Nydahl shifter and foot throttle, even his Allison gauge cluster mounted on top of the dash, center steering position, and cable pulley steering. The boat will be really cool once finished. If you are interested in my request, give me a call or shoot an email at 410 394 9000 or ronald@jetmoreinsurancegroup.com. Thanks so much.
