Hey guys, I'm new...
Been talking to the wife and I think for next year we want a boat, so I first said sweet how about a xr2002 Allison for a V-King and they both got shot down. She likes the bow riders, so do I actually so I know there is a few different models from hydrostream, I'm really liking the Vasseret/Valero V bottom. I really haven't seen any for sale though, just the large 20' version.
What should I be looking to pay for this model and with what motor? It would be nice to hit mid 70s with the bow covered?
Anything I should be looking for if I find one to check out?
Love the look of this one.

Kingston Ontario
Thats a nice looking boat, I like the white and yellow, its hard to find one with the nice colour scheme in late 80s early 90s boats.
Want to give me some details.

1987 Valero YT/BR
1987 135hp Merc
1987 EZ-Loader
Yes I do like the color scheme also
if I can get my new shed paid for I'll be keeping the boat
saw your post on S & F
simple words
DO YOUR HOMEWORK when it comes to a hydrostream
wonderful boats but the quality workmanship leaves a bit to be desired
once they are rebuilt they are just as good or better than any checkmate, baja, allison or other brand
but look a whole lot cooler , they have lines that nobody can match

I believe from 1990 and after named Vasseret they cured their situation

Everyone keeps saying I need to check the boats out and the stringers transom etc
Well I guess I will just have to play it out, see some boats...

Love the Vasserets! That is what I was looking for 3 years ago (3 kids). Came across the Vegas and loved it. I think you could get 70mph out of one with a 150hp and good setup. Good luck on your hunt and keep us posted!

Thanks, is there really a diff in construction of the Vasseret and Valero? And or what is the diffs between the two boats?

hope this helps

I believe the vasseret also had a hinged walk thru glass the valero was a drop in
from what I've read it was around 89-90 that they started building them right
another nice option would be the
Voyager would handle chop a bit better
this one looks nice

Thanks for the info, so I would be looking for those years...
I'm not sure if I want a 20' boat, There is one here not a nice colour scheme but has been redone for 600, and that one is just across the lake from me, so not that far... I've been in a Voyager its actually the only hydrostream bowrider I've been in. I liked it, but his has the older 80's looking interior, it just looked dated and that was 10 years ago, now its ever worse. More updated ones when it comes to interior etc is what Im looking for. That one you posted to is nice, seems like a good price, not a fan of the motor but i guess its ok.
