I just purchased a 1986 Venus XT with a 225 looper and want to know what is the best set-up with set back? Also
does anyone make the factory interior? Thinking of putting a 225 promax on it also any feedback on this?

There's one out in BC with 10" setback, 225pm, 30 pitch prop running 90mph, would be rock solid at those speeds too, they're great hulls.

Nice boat, should run great with the 225x too. Must be something about those hulls, they seem to be faster than any other stream that size. Looking forward to hearing how it runs. An ET should work well, see if you can borrow one before buying, as even used they are very pricy. I read an article about one ( 2005) with a 225 pm and a 30p ET lighining prop, he had 12" setback.
