Gathering information on floor options. Not a big fan of gel coat. Anybody use anything else that has worked out well? Thanks in advance.

hey I was gonna reply to your thread on s&f but I'll put it here since I'm here now. :-)

I used some stuff called "tuff coat" is a rubberized coating that rolls on. got it from bass pro shop or something like that. just Google it.

so far it's held up pretty well... easy on the feet... comes in many colors.

Are you Texas Vector over there? That's just about the color I want. Did you put it right on the fiberglass? How long have you had it on there? Thanks for the info :D

Well, right wrong or indifferent, I ordered that product. Primarily for 3 reasons. 1, it came in the color I want. 2, I like the idea of the 2 part primer for fiberglass. 3, I've had $50 in Cabelas gift cards for years. I've been waiting for something I really needed to spend them on. I don't fish like I used to, and most of their boating stuff you can buy locally. So, I got the gallon of stuff, the 2 part primer, the $5 shipping deal and the gift card discount. Everything to my door for less than $75. Thanks for the tip!

that's me..... good deal on the tuff coat. I used the 2part primer and just put one coat over my new glass. it goes on clear if I remember right. one gallon did my whole floor and trans. I could use a lil more to bring it higher up on the sides and s ome touch up. only spot mine has rubbed is on the edge of the foot throttle block. where my shoesrrub constantly. other than that it stuck down nicely.

I think I used the " sand" color?????

Cool deal. The tuff coat site called it Key West sand, but Cabelas just called it sand. The darker color, they called beige, so I think I got the same one. My new interior is also some sort of "sand" color I believe. Thanks again!

Well, my product arrived today. I guess I'll start another read about my small redo. It will mainly be interior of the boat, but I have asked about a few different topics and I want to get it all in one place. Depending on weather, I hope to start the flooring project this weekend.

Did you use the tuff coat roller? I don't know if I was being cheap or not, but I figured I could pick up a textured roller at the local hardware.
