I bought it off kijiji two years ago. thanks for the complements, still getting it set up the way I want it, but very happy with the boat.

I'm adding a half in plate between the jackplate and transome for a total of 8" setback. should be interesting to see the difference between 8" and 5.5" setback. the boat needed more setback as it required too much trim to fly it, especially with a passenger. I'm also going to double check the centre pad and sponsons to make sure they are dead flat without any hook. My goal is to hit 90mph with the stock excell.

got the 8" setback and the jack plate moved up on the transome. at the highest setting , the propshaft is even with the pad at 8" back, the 13.5" dia 27 p omc renegade prop is WAY to small, going to try a 14.5 -28" Raker prop and see how it works. To really get these things to fly , I now think you need 12" plus setback and the propshaft even with the pad to 1" plus above with a light motor anyway. and a BIG prop.I'm stuck with 8" right now as I will need new steering a and control cables to go back further.Raker did'nt fit rubbed on lower at back of prop when tight, tried a bunch of props including a 29p tempest plus spun it to 6200 rom no top end though. then I tried a 15 1?8" 27 solas scorpion , best prop yet. just under 85 mph solo 81.6 with half tank fuel and passenger.

I now have 14" of setback and a 15 1/8" 27p solas scorpion prop, the best speed I have seen is still 85 mph, the boat flies alot earlier and handles great with the 14" setback. I want to try a 14.5 x 28" mazco re4 if I can this summer, I'm running just under 1.5" above the pad at full lift. Thinking of going to a hydrotech 3.3 litre stage 3 yammi for next year.

last run of the season two weeks ago up here at the fastboats canada bogbash, 12" setback ,ran my new mazco 28p re4 , 6600 rpm @ 87 mph, super hard holeshot and midrange for this motor anyway ,getting there, going to move the front seats back a little and some weight around in the boat, blueprint the bottom and try and get 90.

Getting close Steve! I think you're pretty close in your setback/setup now. From the videos I took and saw from other guys you're flying it pretty flat, trim looks neutral. You might be able to go up just a bit still to eek out that last few mph!!
