I've been lurking here for quite a while and I think it's time I introduced myself. My name is Rich and I'm a native Chicagoan now living in Phoenix.
I've been a Hydrostream fan since the late 70's when I saw a new red metal-flake Vector with a 150 Black Max sitting in the showroom of Stanley's
Marine in Koontz Lake,IN.I think it was $7000 OTD but being a teenager,I couldn't afford it.But luckily,my friend's older brother bought it,and as soon
as I got a ride in that thing,I was hooked! My Hydrostream ownership began in July 1996 when I purchased my Valero directly from Jim Contzen. My
boat was made by John Spaeth in Brechin,Ontario during the relatively brief time those two gentleman were in collaboration.Jim told me that mine
was the second boat made after they abandoned the X-Stream name and went back to Hydrostream.Power is a stock 1996 200 Pro Max.Eagle
trailer.Factory-installed ski pole. The boat has been primarily used as a ski boat.I don't ski anymore but am happy to pull the grandson around.
Here's a few pics........
