Had a nice run today with the HST

I went down to Forest Lake to try out a Mazco 28 RE 4 I bought from Keane on S&F.
First pass, full load of fuel, less than 8000 rpm and I clicked it at exactly 100 on GPS. She was pulling plenty good, but I was running into a bay and the wind was pretty strong. I am still rich on the ACU, but I will play with that later.
The prop lifts really well and I was able to run my motor height way higher than with any other prop. I was not expecting this to be a huge top ender, but rather a mid range prop. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy. I dropped it off at the prop shop for a new hub on the way home. It is a little loose and I'm going to reface the thrust surface too.
I made some easy 95 mph runs and packed it for home. I am still going to find a nice Hoss triton 28 to see what the top end really is on this rig. I may just buy a new one, I think it will be money well spent.
