I need some help, I had a used CMC 6' manual jackplate installed on my 85 Vulture, I am not having any luck loosening the side bolts.
I am not sure of the age, but according to the manual after doing that I should be able to adjust.
Any help appreciated.
Eric

If the side plates are loose it should be free to move. I guess if it didn't move on it's own I would try and help it by aether lifting on the powerhead with a lifting ring or removing the gearcase and jacking LIGHTLY on the mid section. It shouldn't take much, if it doesn't move post some pics.

I was able to get my jack plate moving, prior owner had it way to tight, just took a breaker bar.
Thanks

I have not had it in water, we used straight edge on bottom of boat to come up with starting point for prop.
Prior owner had the boat running 68.5 with no jack plate, I hope to get lower 70's. It has 200 mercury.
I do have pictures of it in my gallery.

I hope to take it out next weekend.
