Thought you guys would get a kick out of this seeing how much you all love pictures. lol

Well my old man and I finished off some J-Crafts we had started earlier this winter. The first one was a 1980 17 foot Regatta with a 1993 140 Evinrude. The floor was completely stripped and redone with Marine Ply, new carpet, all new wiring and gauges. I dont have any pics on this comp of it but... The second one is a 1979 19 foot Pro Ski and we mounted up a 1990 Mariner 150 Mag2 to it. This boat was complete gutted down to the Balsa and EVERYTHING was changed and only new parts went into the build. Here's some pics for you guys...

1979 J-Craft Pro Ski:

The Before pics......

Check out the soggy transom bulging out the top in the left corner.

Motor off, can see the damaged transom better...

Image

I could stick a McDonalds straw about 3 inches into that soggy transom, that's how soft it was.

Cut the motor well out (Not with the chainsaw lol)

More Cuttin...

Finally it was all the way down to the glass

Then the transom and floor work started...

Floor going in and run right up and over the transom....

Gunnels getting tied into the transom for added structure...

Image

Motor well going back on after 5 layers on marine Ply transom. Each layer has mat and roven between each layer.

Image

After all glass work to get the motorwell on, and about 4 different types of Marine hardning, and bonding and flexing products. And a ton of applying and sanding, the transom/motorwell came back from paint looking great...

Image

Some ponies were bought 1990 Mariner 150 V6 Mag2. 135 across the board and paired with a Tempest plus 24 Pitch 4 blade.

Image

Motor got hung the next day...

Image

Marine Carpet went in the next day after that...

Image

AFTER

2 brand new Seats went in with matching blue and white to the boat. Fiberglass bases were made and glassed into the floor.Just waiting on the Original J-Craft Windscreen and the rear couch to come back from the upholstery shop.

After a 4 and a half month build this is how she turned out...
