Filled the previous splashwell holes by putting some Gorilla duct tape to the underside, then filled in the void with resin and matting. After that repair, the entire splashwell underside got an additional layer of mat. A gusset was added to give even more additional strength to the transom. I feel my transom will not have any fatigue problems from hanging a 20inch Merc on it.

The dash wood was still in good shape so I filled in the unneeded holes with the same 3/4inch plywood that the dash is made of. They were glued in with resin so i'm hoping I gained back some integrety in the dashboard

Last of the core is now bedded in. Going to radius all the outside edges and start glassing it all in. Once I have it all glassed in, i'm going to put the deck back on temporarily for mock-up of the seat mounts, hardware mounts, ect...

Feels like i'm making pretty good progress, would be very cool to get some water time in this summer.

Good eyes Sonic. hope you didn't mind me borrowing your boat. I have photos of you hull in my shop to keep me focused....that's one fine rig you have there!!

Don't mind one bit brother....in fact I'm quite humbled to be the object/subject of inspiration. Your project looks great so far and the first time you stab it after all the shakedown will make it all the blood, sweat, and itching all worth it.

The outer core was glassed in this weekend and a big job for 1 person. I envy those of you that had help when the glassing job was done on your rebuilds. The entire inner hull has been completely gone over and now have a new hull with an old school skin...lol Plan next is to etch the new glass and cover with cloth. At that point, the tuffest part of the rebuild is over...in my mind

Since there will probably be a tight grip on the wheel most of the time and the need to grab the wheel to pull myself out of the seat, decided to gusset the dash near the helm to add support.

Boat is looking awesome.

The viper i have doesn't have any stress cracks in the decking. After gusseting the splashwell and dash, the entire underside of the deck had an additional layer of glass added. Should help add more rigidity. While glassing i added some looms to hold wires, cables and hoses. The larger ones were made from a shrinkwrap tube and the smaller ones from pvc pipe.

Next will be clamping the deck back onto the hull and start all the rigging mock-up
