The tiller is where your steering connects to the engine. The small tillers have been known to break under the stress which is bad news. You seen the vector crash. That dude was lucky. Read this thread on s&f and there's some pixs there.

It's a long thread but good reading too. Oh, also going to replace the steering this year also. I'm sure it will also evolve to a new prop too. You know! lol

Just get a what they call a saftey yoke. Reynold marine has them.

Thanks guys. Just got done with the tax returns and there should be enough for that and about 2 gallons of gas.

hey Bill, love what you did to my old vulture! I only wish I had your patience Enthusiasum and pocketbook when I fixed it up years ago. RocknRuss...(the guy who put the plywood in the core)

I have a brother in law that works on glassing sailboats. Lately he has been getting into vacuum packed stuff and has all the equipment. Also thought he could get a deal on some new balsa that someone he knows has. Haven't decided which way I'll go. This might slow me down a little but if I can get it somewhere where we can crank out the work instead of a couple hours at a time, it would be better. Said he's already buying five gallon pails and has a couple in his garage and plenty of cloth. Sounds like a start.
