There is nothing wrong with using composites and foam core when done properly. Chris at Michigan Fiberglas has started making composite board for floors and bulkheads again. My HST and one of my vipers are done in composities and I've had NO issues with what other "experts" ballyhoo about. Be carefull out in St. Clair in that thing. They tend to go THROUGH waves rather than over them.

I know about all the b/s about the composite stuff. I think it's strong, light and wont ROT! They use that stuff in big cabin cruisers where theres more pressure per square inch with alot more square inches when under way and hitting waves. Like I said, Jerry from eastpoint fiberglass laughed. I was raised on the north channel on the st clair river and yes that lake can woop up. Last year coming back from the moot raft off we got caught in a storm while we were in the no wake area by deckers in the north channel. Had to get to the ramp in fairhaven so I had to cross the bay going with the waves, Only took 2 over the bow, not bad concidering how wooped up it was. Just kept the bow high. The boat did better than I expected in that stuff. Can't wait to get it done though. I know I'll be making it to a couple of MHB meets.

Got the floor cut and fit and mocked the fuel tank and trim pump. It's rained every day a couple times a day here lately.
I'll get some pics. Rick, :boating:

Well, didn't really do anything to the boat this weekend. Friday was my b/day so people came over and we drank. Ha go figure! Saturday it rained all day and it was my buddies b/day sooo, we drank. Saturday was the big raft off in the Moot also. It was a wash. Today we hit 95+ sooo I drank water to get my liver livering again and painted the trailer. It needed it so not a total loss. Going to cool some this week so I'll get at it again. Got the carpet picked at Lowes, light gray. Gona be sweet!

It looks like you've been hitting the job hard so a break was in order.
I thought I had a nice weekend with nothing planed and the viper in the shop at work so there was a thought of getting some work done but the clutch went out on my explorer. The bad part was once I was done and bleeding the clutch the new slave cyl split so it all had to come out.
