So does this go on like paint or what? I would love to do my Vulture in the Kelly Green.

Otherwise its just going to be some kind of green with lots of metallic when it comes time to paint it.

It's actually pretty easy. Clear gel coat with the flake mixed in, 2-3 coats to hide the base color (most Streams have a black base coat under the flake, Duratec surfacing primer works fine), then about 4-6 coats of clear gel to bury the flake. Wet sand, polish and that's it.

Repairs are harder, matching the flake can be a pain, and finding a good spot to cut off the repair can be a headache too.

I would be doing the whole thing so no repairs or trying to match anything. I am new ideas now for next winter. This year I just want to get it on the water.

Don't worry guys. Still here and the stream is in the garage on the jig. Began to grind last week and just doing a bit here and there. Weather is getting better so will be getting into it more. So basically, regarding the flake, I have multiple repairs on the deck and the hull and it sounds like it would be easier to just grind down the old flake, put on a new base, then re apply new flake and gel?

That's what I would do, easier than trying to patch it all back together.

If the surface is sound, you don't need to remove all the old flake, just a good sanding, it will still have some hiding ability, so you won't need as much material in those areas.
