I plan to have it ready for glass. Not sure if the glassing is going to happen though.

You're over the hump!! It's all down hill now!!
I found that a HUGE fan and a tyvek suite makes the grinding less miserable. Now it's the stink (if you are using fiberglass) that might get you in trouble with the misses'.
FYI,.... resin coat the raw plywood and let dry before you glass it in the hull. Sometimes the dry plywood will soak in the resin and leave a dry bond which can delaminate later.

With the help of quarterhorse, we managed to go through 5 gallons of resin and 20 yards of fiberglass yesterday that didn't cover a lot of area. We did the front of the transom with 1.5oz mat and the bottom of the hull with 1708 biaxle. The transom glass has a 4-6'' overlap on the bottom of the hull, sides and underneath of the deck. After we got done applying the product we decided to set the main stringers in to ''bed'' them into the wet resin. This is where i'm at now. I have to wait for more glass and resin to sow up before i can go much further.

I figure when all is said and done I will have right around 15 gallons of resin in my Vuture. Maybe even more. We will see as soon as it starts warming up out.

Looking good though.

At first i was expecting 5 gallons to go pretty far. After i calculated how much resin per yard of material, i figured out im waaaaay short. Im ordering 15 more yards of material and 5 more gallons of resin. That should finish everything i plan to do to this hull. I still have to glass stringers, floor, seat box and well filler panel.

You are one of a few. I have wondered if the Ventura was a good hull to bring back from the dead because of its looks. To most people, its not pleasing to the eye to say the least. The one thing I do like about it is that not many are still running around. I know they have proven themselves over and over on the circle tracks, but that doesn't help their looks. Its not my favorite hull, but I can't afford any of them.
