tried, and it blew out LOL, the big solas would not blow out, even at 1.5 above, just did not go any faster,weight distribution and trim are very sensetive. James 3.3 would be sweet, but I have too many expences this year at home LOL the excell is running well. I',m having a blast running with you guys, we have a ton of great looking hydrostreams up here for sure.

I second that

I'm looking into a possible rebuild this winter. I liked the fact that I was the only one at west lake with original hydrostream gel in GOOD CONDITION, and I'd like to save it if at all possible. I wanted murph to look at it at bogbash, but I had already blown the motor by then, and was too disappointed to look at it.

Haven't gone deep enough to find out yet. Pulled the plugs, they all look good, I may have just effed my lower unit. I think I'm done with it for the year though. I'll scope the cylinders in the spring and decide how far to go then. Until then, saving my pennies.... No wait, nickels, pennies are disco'd lol

I hear ya on that I rebuilt my 200 efi merc in april and spent 7g after slinging a rod thru number 6 cylinder last july then I just took it apart again yesterday for new front half gaskets and full inspection of crank and seals and cylinders I hate when they go down
