i painted in the winter with 2x urthen fullthane polyurthene dupont paint i put a flexible additive in it for the paint to flex with the paint then put three coats of clear coat on it new white face gauges did the dash bord in 1/16 staninless painted red and shaped into the dash a 200 mercery outboard balanced and blueprinted to a 265 efi 20 inch mid
ported mid and exhaust bobs nose cone new seats hot foot now doing a recore job on it getting ready for next summer

what i did is if you see were the aluminum piece is thats were the two pieces tied in together it a 1/8 thick by 1/2 wide aluminum strip and i used aluminum bolts for accent color the dash was rounded at the top so i put the pieces up there be for the paint and then scribed through the dash were my gauges were and scribed the curve of the dash then just cut it out made a test fit with gauges then painted when ready its not the best but it look ok i assume
Hey, love the vector. I've got a 1983 vector and I see your fuel cell is upfront. I am tearing mine down for paint and interior this winter and was wondering what kind of difference that made. Easier to drive, cut out the porpoise did it slow you down any?
