Thanks for the welcome. I just joined this forum and just purchased my first hydrostream today. I dont know a lot about them but have learned quite a bit on this forum. It is a 1987 valero xt tunnel with a 200 xp evinrude that the owner said has 250 hp. I hope it runs good as I haven't picked it up yet. The thing is a one owner and looks like new. I couldn't find a scratch on it and it has always been shedded and covered when not in use. I am from North Dakota and could sure use any advice from anyone on this boat as I have only owned one other boat and it wasn't too fast. I think I should take it to a shop and have a new impeller installed and gas drained and maybe carbs cleaned as it hasn't been used in two years. Does that sound right or maybe some other things done or checked? Thanks in advance for any input or advice. I can't wait to try it out!
Welcome and congratulations on the boat. Taking it for a tuneup is probably a good idea although someone who takes that good care of it most likely winterized it before putting it away. You could probably just try to get it going yourself and see what it needs from there. Happy streaming. Bill
