First I got the drain plug installed. I went with this one just cause my luck I would loose the thing so this way it always stays with the boat. Oh yeah, don't mind that crack at all, its just in the paint from when the transom was junk and I forgot to putty it up when I painted it recently. Dont worry, it doesnt leak or anything or go all the way through.. I'll be fixing it.
Next was operation put jack plate on. And there we go, all installed. The motivation level is getting up there now. I used some 4200 on all the bolts and also on the drain plug. And while I was at it, I put some 4200 under the ends of the rub rail for a little extra measure.
I had a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum here so I made my own top washer/transom plate and it worked out perfect. Looks a bit crude but works awesome and you'll never see it anyways.
More to come...
