While I ponder installing the floor, I got interested in the ski pylon.
The pylon was previously installed through the deck immediately behind the rear seat.
It can't go there anymore because I am moving the fuel tank from the bow to the rear and the tank blocks that location.
Also, the previous location had a bad geometry that would cause trendous upwards force on the main pylon under load. It would lift the floor. The struts were too steep and too wide.
My thought was to put the pylon tight to the front of the rear seat. Much better geometry and perhaps the pylon will keep the rear seat in position.
To do this I will need to move the strut supports because the struts block access to fuel fill and to the rear light socket.
Not a big deal. I marked potential locations with green tape. (not the tape in the side view)
Two people could still sit in the back seat ("watch out for that strut beside your head"), but it would be better for one person.
Any input would be appreciated.
