1/4 mile drags in Fairmont MN

The umpba is holding it's 4th annual race and radar run at gomsrude park in Fairmont MN.

Registration can be done at the boat club Friday night or on our website but must be in by 8 pm Friday. http://umpba.org/regform.html

The classes are a little different than our site shows. They are set by your top speed at the end of the quarter mile with a 2 mph leeway.
lake racer 65mph
lake racer1 75mph
lake racer2 85mph
lake racer3 95mph
unlimited.
There will be be club members with boats in all classes so bring whatever you have and race. Or just come to watch a "little hydrostream" kick some allison ***.

I can set anyone up with props and safety gear as long as I know what to bring with me.

It's a lot of fun. The problem is getting people to show up, we are trying to grow but getting new members is hard.

I just got back from a meeting before the race. We will have plaques for the top 3 boats in each class. If anyone is interested pm me before Thursday.

Hydrostreams filled the podium in lake racer 2 with vipers 1st and 2nd, a vector was third. Jerry Leonard brought out his real nice viper with a carbed 260 and put me on the trailer but it was worth it to see that clean fast stream.

He broke a steering arm in the finals and couldn't move up to lake racer 3. I shut all my switches off while waiting to see if he could make it out for the class and then was first up to race and in my hast I forgot to turn on my nitrous master power on and lost my first race to a 260 powered xb02. After that I was pissed and messed up again and had my trim way to high and tried to make the viper fly, it came up and out of the water but landed on it's side and by the time I got it straight I couldn't catch the triad.
