I don't know what a 115 i6 is capable of, but a 26" prop spun around 6500 should get you there... Someone with i6 knowledge would be a better source of info though.

I know a 115 with 25 pitch on a varmint gets 50, I would suggest getting a 150 powerhead so you can run a bigger pitch without bogging the engine. The 25 I ran was very slow getting out the hole so going any bigger probably won't even get on plane. Also I had a lot of porpoising, went to a bigger engine and I can run seventy easily.

Re: 1973 ventura 1
You'll need to raise the motor about 4-5" above the transom, a 26 small ear Chopper will put you at 70 mph. This assumes the engine is a 115 rated at the prop. It will be difficult to drive without dual cable steering and a foot throttle, solid motor mounts would be a plus, but are not essential, as long as the existing mounts are in good condition, a water pressure gauge is a must have. NO JACK PLATE, the boat was designed to run with that size motor bolted to the transom using what woud be considered a lot of positive trim by todays standards. You should also be wearing a competition life jacket and the boat should be equipped with a kill switch. Following this advice will allow you to have more fun with your clothes on than you thought was possible.
