almost there guys !!! check this out

Post: # 6493Post 19'stealth2009 »

A VERY heavely modified 1979 19 ' Vector is now a PROTOTYPE and re regisistered and titled as a 2009 homebuilt
My name is John R. Norton / DBA East Coast Boat Restorations , located in Oriental , NC

In full respect to all of us who love to fly i have recreated this vessel , river tested , and proven this boat to be an advanced riding hull ! I have been keeping the boat hidden till today and would admire seriouse individuals to give input on molding this vessel and hand laying in carbon kevlar and epoxy hulls . By the time the first one would be completed would be in area of 2011 .

The present Stealth Prototype is a two seater only

powered by , a 1985 outboard stock 200 mercury with 20"mid and stock foot , gps numbers 95 into a head wind of 12 to 15 knots and 1'6" chop wide open and cruise .

Please help me to stay modivated in these hard times to continue pushing forward on this vessel , an absolute must ride in life !

former boats 24' 1986 Vilian 3 sold
24 ' Python modified and sold
24' 1986 BAJA with a V-8 rude from the factory ( fire ball metalic red )
21' 1986 Valaro fully rebuilt , painted and sold
19' 1979 Vector X drag boat chopped and cut
19' 2009 Home built prototype STEALTH
there is a vid on utube that is very simulair but is not the one i'm speaking of her , type in hydrosteam vector comp

19' vector? The vector was only 17'. Did you take one and make it 2 feet longer and if so how did you go about it?

Thankyou for the responces so far guy's !
The rules are in order to take an old hull and make it yours by name ... then there has to be three major changes to that hull design !

1) dbl stepped the pad and enhanced
2) the entire back deck height was lowered down to the height of were your arm would sit and then tapered and domed enclosing the entire back
3) an F-14 (like) window sheild (can not see thru it ) very contoured and airodinamic (sp?) was hard fastened and molded in place , very hard radioused and flows with the body lines half way out the back of boat .

Question ! ) when molded , the cockpitt could easily be fully enclosed with a plexy glass sheild front and back sight and hinged ... would this be an option that anyone would like to have ?
Question ! ) if i mold this windshield design , how many of you guys would like to buy the new version as a bolt on after marked assembly ?

Welcome to the site. Sound interesting. I would like to see a picture of the windshield, and the boat. I don't know how secret you are keeping it though. Whatever you feel comfortable showing us would be great. Bill

If you have tried to add pictures they are not showing up, at least not for me.

To answer your question I would think a enclosed capsol would only be desirable for racing as they would be too hot with limited visibility for lake use. If it were used for racing it would also need to be certified with what ever racing body it is used in. I think it would look cool as heck but just not feasable for everyday use.

I'm actually doing something simalar to a vking in bringing the sides in and making it a tandom 2 seater. I only have a loose plan in my loose mind so it will change 10 times before I start with any glass then 2 more times once I start with the glass.

What part of the country are you from?
