Hello everyone
Just joined the site after picking up a 79 viper ... Owned a bunch of streams over the years, mostly vectors and Vikings and always wanted a viper... Well now I got it !! It came from CT was supposedly used only in fresh water and always trailered. Interior is not original and the bass boat seats got to go.. I have a 2.5 200 merc carb motor for it and will be looking for plenty of advice as far rigging and motor mods go. I came across a picture of a viper with aluminum 3/8 plate on the transom for mounting to motor all slotted for adjusting up and down and thinking that's the route I really want to go. Like a dummy I didn't save the pic but it was on this site and I'm looking for it... So if you posted that pic and maybe know more about it I'd love to hear from you. I'm located in Long Island New York and I know they are a bunch of streams here so don't hesitate to reach out to say what's up!!

Welcome.. What part of LI are you in ? I had a viper many years ago with an inline 150xs great boat. Had vectors venus and valero now have a venus xt.

I do not know them. I run around Patchogue to Moriches area but been out of the loop for a while getting my feet wet again.
