Take your time with it, don't get in a hurry to get it done, and make it EXACTLY what you want it to be. In the meantime, here's a little snapshot of what you'll be looking at when it's done.....
Hehe. All in good fun my friend. I've got one of those pro emblem shots too.
There were lots of Vipers, but not in our "colour", if you will. I'm going on 5+ yrs getting mine to where it is now and I'm still not done with the ever present add this, and change this etc etc.....that's part of the fun.
Not a hydrostream, but this is my 1980 Glastron GT150. It was a mess when I picked it up as my first project in 2010. Complete motor rebuild in 2010 and a complete boat overhaul in 2011. Hopefully one day the Viper will come out just as nice.
For those that are interested, my complete 2 year restoration process (motor and hull) are documented on the Glastron site as well. Interesting part is that as you get toward the end of the project thread, you'll start to see how I gradually transitioned to wanting a stream....just NOT enough speed from the GT hull.
Love the old Glastrons...it was my brothers CVX20 squirt boat with a 499 cube ford that pretty much started me on the old boats so I guess I have him to blame for the last 6 years of craziness! Your 150 turned out great my friend, and if you show the Viper the same level of attention when its time comes, you'll be just fine.
