I have wanted a rifle for a while and finally bought a dpms ar-15 about a month ago. At the time I thought it would be a fairly cheap hobby after buying the gun. I have found I was way wrong. I bought a cheap scope off the internet and found it useless so off to the gun shop to buy a nice nicon 3-12 power scope and cleaning stuff $600 for that and $300 in ammo I was off. It sat for a while until today after getting some side work done I went out to a buddies place to shoot. Wow is this fun and addicting. After sighting in at 50 yards it was game on I was able to hit a clay pigeon sitting out at 400 yards.
This is his set up, quite nice for at home.
Targets at 50, 100-500 yards, and a 4wheeler to run back and forth.
So far I have only shot 50 rounds through it with this scope but I have to say it's a blast. I hope to go prairie dog hunting next summer.
