ImageLooking to sell my 79 Varmint— $9,000-boat is original-core/ transom original—bought new by my uncle in 79–given to me 2 years ago and run for 3 seasons, spent most its life in a garage on trailer, no stress cracks— includes original trailer , most importantly a 2017 Merc 150 pro XS, as well as a chopper and cleaver 28, new dual cable steering, all new gauges, electrical, agm battery in front live well, new carpet/ seats-doesn’t fit my family anymore so buying a Checkmate- would like it to go to a good home— also listed on boattrader, but would prefer someone who appresciates Hydrostreams...

Core and transom have Not been replaced. The boat looks great cosmetically, drives great, and doesn’t have stress cracks that I can find, but if I were keeping the boat those would be done right away knowing this is a 40 year old Hydrostream. Unfortunately it was easier to find a dealer to repower the boat than to find someone near me I would trust to take it apart and not ruin it.

Due to lack of interest, putting motor on new pontoon.
Hull/ trailer available (with rigging)...will re-list on Facebook site once motor is off of it in a month or so.

Sorry to say, but I sold the boat last month— sorry for not updating this post until now. Good news is that it went to a great home— an avid Hydrostream fan down in Georgia... motor unfortunately will suffer the indignity of pushing around a slow pontoon. Got a new Checkmate 2000brx, but still on the lookout for a restored Vector or Viking hull.
