Thundermarine guys checked the core,Its in great solid shape,The seats were right on the floor, therefore holding the water sandwiched between the floor and seats,The new laminated marine plywood will have 2 rails built in to raise the seats off the floor,so that water wont stay trapped,The guys at thunder marine think whoever drove the boat thought it was the boat moving and twisting, when infact the seats were moving on the rotten floor, someone also tried a makeshift repair which had airpockets and screws,The hull was checked thoroughly Im not trying to sell the boat I am keeping it,The boat was well stored from the elements, :geek: When I power it with the offshore Ill see how it feels! :boating:

Its been said..Never a rotted floor without bad core. This is so true. Please get into the core and find out your self. The streams today are all wet.
One of my vking yts had a soft spot in the floor and under the seat..I thought well its just a floor.I ran 80 on the lake one day.and cracked open the side of my pad. And about put the boat in the bottom of the lake..The boat now has been fixed and fixed by me.So now its ready to get rigged again.
I found the once the floor was removed and i was able to cut into the inner glass skin it had no core .Since it was rotton and gone.
I could share more on recoreing the boat if you wish,But for now would feel good to say check it out before running it.
What im most upset with my self about. Is ive corded afew streams already and find it not hard to do.Mostly time..But with this one yt i thought its fasts it drives right.Well core must be good.Wrong i was.Now ive hurt the hull with the crack and now it will never be the same being i have to fix the crack and that now will be seen forever. Let me see if im able to upload afew pics of my recore..

I would strongly suggest getting a second opinion from someone more familiar with these boats.
A buddy of mine checked that boat once before and found the core was soft so unless its been replaced in the last few years...
It's a beautiful boat that you plan on keeping. That extra piece of mind is more then worth the added cost!

I am curious?Pman your Buddy that checked this core on my boat a few years ago,,,,How did he check it? I am very curious,Did he remove the floor? To investigate the core?Did he use a water density meter?Or,,,,, I am interested in how he came to this conclusion? Regards speedmaster2 :boating:

What a beauty! Love the blue color and the interior looks like it's blue leather to match?
