I just seem to be seeing an over emphasis on stringers and/or exotic materials in recent years.
Yea I think I will be using looper power I'm going to redo the boat then find a looper,I might run a floor not sure yet on stringers or floor yet. Bruzercomp how is your transom is it raised up to get your lower unit Evan with the pad or you running short mid section
I am running a 16 inch mid. I thought it would help reduce the weight of the v6 hanging off the back. I rand a 20 inch mid with my v4 and I got it level with the pad. Its a horse a piece. What jackplate are you planning on running?
I think I'm going to use a light weight regular sliding adjusting systum or a light weight hydrolic jack plate depending on funds lol.I now these boats are light and I won't to have the lest amont of weight hanging off the back. I would love to modify the exhaust on a v4 any hints
I recommend a 2.5 inch jack plate. Bobs machining makes one that can be either a 2.5 in set back or 5 in set back. They also make an exhaust snout that bolts on to the mid that works good or 2 2 in holes under the cavitation plate on the lower unit works too.
i have a brand new 6 inch set back jackplate nvr been used has the single adjust ment in middle that keeps both sides equal for a perfect height every time will add pics tomm if interested
