'76 VIPER (ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER)

Post: # 10259Post varmint1 »

I got up this morning got a cup of coffee went outside to enjoy a smoke and a cup of coffee, While I was sitting there i decided to pull the motor off the Viper to see how bad the transome was, as they say " one thing leads to another",I had the splashwell cut out the transome out and most of the floor and most of the core out. I still have to cut the airbox and the pad core out.

That didnt take ya long at all. Makes me mad looking at all these rotten boats with the original cor and how fast the old core and stuff comes out. I will make sure my next one was not worked on by anyone unless I know it was done right for sure. To be honest, I am surprised I have not tapped out and thrown the towel in on the vulture long ago by the size of a mess I ended up with lol

Keep the pics coming!

Im getting there. Got the transom about 95% in. Hopefully next weekend I will have some stringers and core in. Then I can flip it over and start sanding away on the bottom then find someone that will spray it for some berr and pizza. LoL And maybe a little bit of $$ if needed. Then i can hang the motor and put the floor down and really get going on things. :D Sounds like a lot but compared to what I have been through already with this thing, Its gonna be a walk in the park. EEK! lol
