A guy in our club runs the eagle one on a viper and said it is too big for lake riding and can catch the water and trip the boat once on plane. I run a allison type on my viper and vegas and like them.

Thanks for the info glad to hear that there are a few of y'all that run these plates I do almost all my running on a river there are a few allison plates around so I may just buy the eagle one plate and make sure I drill the holes the same as the allison plate and try both and see which one I like better if I don't like the eagle one im sure I can sell it and get an allison plate
Well got the eagle one plate put on my boat today!! One of my friends has an allison plate so I used it for my hole patterns so I could changes plates and still use the same holes turned out pretty good. Now I just need to go for some test runs and see which one I like better.
Well got a chance to go for a run with the eagle one plate a few days back and im not sure if I like it or not but then again the wind was bad so I didnt push it very hard bc I don't like to get very trim happy in high winds so maybe I will get some better weather soon and go for another test run and maybe also have time to change it out and run the allison style plate also in the same day that way I can give my opinions on the two

I've run a flat laser cut foil similar to the allison one and it is hands down the best 'bang for the buck' mod I've ever run.
This year I made a skid planer which so far hasn't proven itself. Ive only run it a few time but I haven't noticed huge improvements. The boat seems a bit easier to drive but I am not sure that it's any quicker.
It extends from the notched transom and is perfectly flat across.
I've picked up a much lighter V-king this year so we'll see if it works any different on that.
