Engine mountin position

Have questions about setting up your boat? Engine height, setback, prop, etc.

Engine mountin position

Post: # 9731Post pt109 »

Sorry I have not been on here lately. I have completed the stringers and all on the boat. I am curious about the engine mounting position in relation to the transom, Should the engine extend lower or be even? I have noticed bass boats with similar hulls w/lower scags sitting behind the box. Do i need a 20" or 25" shaft?

You need a 20" shaft. Make sure the top of the transom is level with the pad, then use a jig to drill your holes at the correct spacing and angle.
