Jupiter inlet brings back memories. Is the sandbar still across the inlet at the ocean? Me and my dad toof the rudder of a sailboat on that bar back around 1979. Had to put the boat on a bar a little further in and wait for the tide to go out to do a temporary repair. We were on the way back to Key West, but Jupiter looked like it had some good boating water.

There is a sandbar west of the Jupiter inlet and train trestle bridge (old dixie) that alot of boats gather at. Some people pull the boats onto the sand right in front of the Jupiter Lighthouse..you may be thinking of St. Lucie inlet (north of Jupiter by 30 minutes) where there is a large sandbar in the middle of the inlet. Jupiter gives you a variety of good intercoastal, back country and ocean running!!
I spent 4 hours and a tank of gas getting to know her! I was running 50/1 break in oil so I couldn't run hard...but I did make a few 6000 rpm passes...just enought to pack some air and get the hull to "fly" !! I have a few bugs to work out..stuck pop it valve, bad sending unit for water temp, need to secure my rear bench seat bottom from sliding around, etc. but all worked out great! The boat drew attention everywhere we went!!
