Re: 89 2.4 liter bridgeport
Hi idvette, thanks for the info-I was wondering about the reliability of it too- I would not be pushing it to its limits but I would push it. I am still going to research it a little more. I wonder if transomstand has one on his boat? It kinda looks like it- but then again what do I know.

89 2.4 liter bridgeport
Hi, I was originally going to put a 200 optimax on my 15 foot viper- but after buying the motor and seeing how big it is and how much it weighs I decided to sell the motor- now I was looking for a 200 efi like my 150 xr6 but I came across a 89 bridgeport 2.4 liter with very low hours on it- I wanted...

Re: 82 vector
Hi Varigeo, I have to ask my fiance-I told her I wanted a little piece of land a couple of acres or so and we either had to live on a lake or live very close to one. I will get back to you on that. I declined the vector- the boat did have the core done I saw the pics (he did a good job) the thing th...

Re: 82 vector
Hi Transomstand, "Buy a Fountain with blower motors" is to easy plus not as much fun to navigate through choppy water. I just figured if this boat was as good as the owner says it is - that it would be safer and more stable than the viper. I have been watching the water for the last couple...

82 vector
Hi guys - I wanted your opinions - I was considering buying a 1982 vector- it currently has a 115 merc on it- the owner says the core and the floor were redone 1 1/2 years ago- he has pics to prove it- the boat looks great - it was repainted with new interior gauges, steering etc. -he also says it h...

Re: optimax 200
Hi Russf, thanks- I had a family issue last year and with the hurricane taking out part of my house and the blizzard I havent be able to breath- the funny thing is during the hurricane my boat on the trailer down by the road floated away- as did my jetski's. So now that winter is almost over I figur...

Re: 72 hydro stream viper
Hi- my set back is 7 1/2 inches- my lower unit height is 1.25 inches below the bottom (center of the propeller shaft)- I set that up a while ago but have not tested it out yet. I was told that the set back is too much- they were saying no more than 5 inches- I trust them for they have way more time ...

Hi all!!, I was wondering if any body knows which wire (color) on the engine harness on my 2000 xr6 150 is the ignition kill or run wire- I have done some mods to the boat and motor and would like to hook up the kill switch-before I go out in the boat again- the fastest I have gone is 63mph- now I k...
