Yep, same kinda thing. I had the slot open at the forward edge though. That way once the stringer is cut to height, just slid it to the next cut. My register was pretty straight though. Didn't need the moveable ends. :boating:

Just take a straight plank and notch it a little wider than the stringers. Cut the length of the plank to fit in the floor register then go nuts with the router. Slide the jig u made back as u go. It was a mess. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/images/mobile/iPhone.png

Shiny you can see cracks starting. As far as performance don't think it would make that much difference. Shiny def looks cool though. I always take my gear case off for the winter.
