Well my Virage was an 89 so I can’t argue with you on that one...

If I'm not mistaken, it wasn't until 1989 that bilge pumps became standard equipment. Everything before 1989 the bilge pump was an option.

Very aware of the core issue with these older boats. Fingers crossed with extensive inspection to come. Thanks Chris

Hi Chris.
Welcome to the site.
That's a beautiful 'Stream you have there. If you don't have a thru hull bilge fitting, then I would say yours didn't have one from the factory. The lack of a fitting and no switch would say it was ordered without one.
My first Virage had one and it appeared to be factory installed as the wiring was bundled with the stern light and fuel sender wires.

Are you aware of the dreaded "rotten core" on these older boats? Regardless of the shiny gel coat and solid floor The balsa was laid up so dry even the humidity in the air will rot the core.

Hey guys I am new to the Hydrostream game but have owned several boats in my time and every one of them had a bilge pump. Was it common for the factory to no install them in some of their Streams? Thanks in advance. Chris
