Voyager XT Land & Sea jack plate sender

Not much room to work in there. Engine down and access from the front was best. Melted the tabs off the old unit with a red hot chisel. New unit is a Johnson trim-tilt sender #582153 from Ebay for $70. Replaced spacers with 2 joined pairs of 3/4" coupling nuts for a fixed pedestal for new unit. True Value Hardware had male knobs with the correct thread (10-32 ?) protruding and I just screwed those in with thumb and forefinger. Lower knob diameter had to be reduced on grinder for clearance.
